The little mouse

The mouse stirred in his hole. Was it time to wake up from his long winter sleep yet? He poked his nose out of the hole.

When he got out of the hole he could smell some boysenberries. He had to be careful because some people might kill him. He looked left and right when he was running  across the path to get to the boysenberries. After that he got two boysenberries and ran back to his hole and he ate it. But he was still hungry he went back to get some raspberries and ran across the path. He got three raspberries to eat and he went back to sleep.

Meals for the Brain and Body

Today in Mrs Slade Literacy group we had breakfast. I had Weetbix I crunched my weetbix then I had to put the hot water on my weetbix. I put 2 spoon of sugar into my weetbix. I put milk on to the weetbix and I put banana and yoghurt on too. It tasted yummy and delicious. I was laughing and happy. It was time to have milo to drink. I had to put milo into my cup and sugar too. Mrs Tepania put milk into my cold milo because I put too much in but I still liked it.  It was yummy and delicious too.

Today we made lunch. For lunch we had 

on it. It looked like a shared lunch. I liked it.

sandwiches and we had two each. I put butter, lettuce, tomato, carrot, ham and cheese on my bread. It looked nice and yummy. I wanted to eat it.Next I made a another sandwich. It had lettuce, tomato and cheese on it. I wanted to eat it too but it was for lunch. Mrs Slade said that we could have one to eat. I only wanted to have ham and cheese

On Wednesday we made dinner with Mrs Slade, Mrs Tepania and Mr Hutchings. First we had to wash our hands under the tap. Next we went to the kitchen. Mrs Slade put on the lamb. She put oil and rosemary in it. We did the vegetables. Me, Thawara and Moses did one potato each we left the skin on. We washed the potatoes and carrots and cut them. Then we cut the cabbage in half. We had to do it two times. After that we put all the vegetables in the roasting dish and we cooked them. At 12:55 it was time for dinner. I was the first one to eat it. It was yummy and I loved it.

Cross Country Race

Every day I was training for my Cross Country Race. Rooms 13,14,15.16 and 17 went for a long long run down to the beach and back to Pt England school. We went two times.  At the end of training we did stretches. Miss Garden did stretches with us and we copied Miss Garden doing  stretches.

On Friday last week it was time for our cross country race. I was nervous. The year 6 girls walked to the changing sheds to start the race. Mr Burt said, “Ready set go!.”
I went along the path I was jogging. The other girls was sprinting. We went past the bridges and across the creeks. I saw a teacher. She said ,”Go boys and girls you can do it.” I had a stitch but I still kept running. It went away about 6 minutes later. One of the boys slipped down and he nearly fell in the creek but he climbed up. I was nearly at the finish line. It was muddy when I got to the finish.

At the end I was tired and happy that I  had finished the race.

My sister

In the weekend I went to my sister house, her name is Cole and she is 2 year old. She has a sandcastle and I played in the sandcastle it was fun. Then it was lunchtime we had a lovely lunch. It was fruit and sandwiches for lunch.Then it started to rain and then me,Cole and Taiaha went to go in side. We played on her drums inside it was pink. I love my little sister she fun and cool.

Mrs Slade Literacy group

Today me, Htawara and Flora went to Mrs Slade Literacy group.
We learnt about athletics and we did a worksheet.
The worksheet was a word find after the work find we went to go on studyladder.
On studyladder I got a bronze and I decorated my bedroom.
After studyladder I did reading the book was about The Jets and the Rockets.

Rowing

On wednesday night I watched the rowing, it was really fast and exciting.
In the race I watched the New Zealand came first, YAY!

Going Fishing

In the holidays I went fishing with my dad. Me and my dad went fishing in the boat. It was my dad's boat, It was all yellow.
We went near Mission Bay. I caught a big fish and my dad caught a big fish too. Soon it was time to go home. Once my dad got home he cleaned out the fish. My dad cooked the fish. Dad’s cooking is yummy.
