Netball

Netball is a sport played by two teams of seven players. Its development, derived from early versions of basketball, began in England in the 1890s. By 1960, international playing rules had been standardised for the game, and the International Federation of Netball and Women's Basketball here are the the possession that the player go on Wd is Wing defense, Wa is Wing attack, Gs is Goal shoot, Gk is Goalkeeper, Ga is Goal attack, Gd is Goal and C is Center.

Games are played on a rectangular court with raised goal rings at each end. Each team attempts to score goals by passing a ball down the court and shooting it through its goal ring. Players are assigned specific positions, which define their roles within the team and restrict their movement to certain areas of the court. During general play, a player with the ball can hold onto it for only three seconds before shooting for a goal or passing to another player.

The winning team is the one that scores the most goals. Netball games are 60 minutes long.Netball is most popular in Commonwealth nations, specifically in schools, and is predominantly played by women. According to the INF, netball is played by more than 20 million people in more than 80 countries.Major transnational competitions take place, including the Netball Superleague in Great Britain and the ANZ Championship in Australia and New Zealand.

Tui Strawberry

Today I will be talking about strawberry , I started to watch TV and on the gardening show this girl was  talking about how to make a garden fill with Tui Strawberry and them I talk to my nana and she said “that you should write a story about it” and that my nan said she would make a Tui Strawberry garden.

The great Kiwi just wouldn’t be the same without a generous topping of delicious red strawberries. Grow your own this season and you’ll be the family favourite! Plant in garden beds, pots and containers and harvest a bumper crop of homegrown strawberries this summer. They are 4 thing to look after strawberry care and they are Prepare, Plant, Nourish and Protect.

Prepare: The better the soil, the better your plants will grow. If you are starting with an existing garden bed dig in organic matter like sheep pellets and Tui Compost to your soil. Then you can add a layer of Tui Strawberry Mix, specifically formulated with extra potassium, just what your strawberry plants need to encourage a plentiful harvest of big juicy fruit. If planting in pots and containers use Tui Strawberry Mix.
Plant: A good rule of thumb is to plant five strawberry plants for each member of the household.Research shows that planting strawberries in New Zealand's winter temperatures will produce a larger crop over the season, so don't be afraid to plant early. Choose a spot in full sun. Plant early in the morning or late in the day so plants aren't exposed to hot sun straight away. If you're short on garden space, strawberry plants grow well in hanging baskets, or you can plant straight into a bag of Tui Strawberry Mix – just remember to make small drainage holes underneath.
Nourish: Feed your plants and they will feed you. Replenishing nutrients used by your plants ensures they will grow to their full potential. For strawberries planted in garden beds feed every four weeks during key growth periods of spring and summer. Tui Strawberry Food is a balanced blend of nutrients to encourage fast establishment and growth of strawberry plants, and make plants stronger and more disease resistant, while increasing fruiting potential for large, succulent strawberries. For strawberries in pots and containers use Tui NovaTec Premium fertiliser.
Protect: The weather, weeds, pest insects and diseases can all impact on the success of your strawberries. Protect your plants from the elements with layers of Tui Strawberry Straw, to help keep their roots moist in the warmer months, to keep fruit off the soil and to help keep your patch weed free. Be vigilant and stop unwanted insects and diseases from ruining your plants. The Tui Plant Protection range will help you put a stop to any problems that arise. Treat powdery mildew on strawberries with Tui Disease Control for Fruit & Veges. To treat common insects found on strawberries such as aphids, whitefly, scale and two-spotted mites, use Tui Insect Control for Fruit & Veges.

The World War 1

Today I will be talking about the World war 1 , I started to watch TV and on the naew they were talking about what happen before we were bore so I got my netbook and start to write about the world war 1.

About two-thirds of military deaths in World War I were in battle, unlike the conflicts that took place in the 19th century when the majority of deaths were due to disease. Nevertheless, disease, including the Spanish flu and deaths while held as prisoners of war, still caused about one third of total military deaths for all belligerents.

First World War or the Great War, was a global war centred in Europe that began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918. More than 9 million combatants and 7 million civilians died as a result of the war. It was one of the deadliest conflicts in history, paving the way for major political changes, including revolutions in many of the nations involved.

The total number of deaths includes about 10 million military personnel and about 7 million civilians. The Entente Powers (also known as the Allies) lost about 6 million military personnel while the Central Powers lost about 4 million. At least 2 million died from diseases and 6 million went missing, presumed dead.

Cat kid the book

The Author who wrote the book was Brian James he was born in January 7, 1976 is an American author who is known for his young adult fiction novels as well as illustrated children's books.Brian James published his first book, Pure Sunshine, when he was 23 years old. Since then, his published works range from children's books, including the Pirate School series and the Catkid series.Book two in the fun series about a girl who is half-kid, half-cat.

I really like this book because on their field trip there get to see some cool fish at the aquarium. Here are some of the fish name a striped fish, rainbow fish, big fish, tiny fish, funny round fish and skinny fish. So I’m going to tail you some sieff at the end so at the end their find out who win the hant. It is a cool book you can raed this book it is called The Field Trip.

The Characters in the story are Cat kid, Middie, Billy and Mr. Sparrow. My favourite Characters will have to be Billy because He’s scared of mean and sometime I mean too so that is my favourite Character.

Being surrounded by fish is Cat Kid's dream and she's terribly disappointed to learn that you don't actually go fishing at an aquarium. But CatKid soon discovers there's so much to see dolphins, jellyfish, starfish, and more. The teacher announces a prize will be given to the winner of an "underwater" treasure hunt. With her best friend Maddie's help, our favorite half-feline will find a way to win that prize — and prove that no one has a nose for fish quite like CatKid.

Commonwealth games

The games are overseen by the Commonwealth Games Federation, which also controls the sporting programme and selects the host cities. A host city is selected for each edition. 18 cities in seven countries have hosted the event. Apart from many Olympic sports, the games also include some sports that are played predominantly in Commonwealth countries, such as lawn bowls and netball. Although there are 53 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, 71 teams in the Commonwealth Games, as a number of dependent territories compete under their own flag. Australia has been the highest achieving team for twelve games, England for seven, and Canada for one.

Gymnastics is one of the sports at the quadrennial Commonwealth Games competition. It has been a Commonwealth Games sport since 1978. Australia and Canada have dominated in both disciplines of this sport. Look out for rising stars from Malaysia and England, who were among the medal winners at Melbourne 2006, and emerging athletes from nations throughout the Commonwealth including Scotland.
